Madelyn, being small doesn't bother me in the least. I actually relish it. Keeps it more personal between myself and owners plus I want to be the one handling the horses on a daily basis. It would just be nice to have afforded to me the same consideration/opportunities as the big outfits be it throu...

As much as it pains me to see the racing industry thrust into a negative spotlight(again) and realizing the fallout is probably just beginning, I can only hope that one of the small positives to come out of this is that it levels the playing field for those small, honest, ethical trainers that reall...

Magic Cushion hoof packing
Has anyone had the opportunity to use this on their horses? I had a farrier highly recommend using it to take the tenderness out of a thin soled TB and says it is the best out there. He said the Extreme is the best, but a little more pricey. Thanks in advance.

Madelyn-Little Cordelia is in training with me. We were so excited yet heart broken after that run last night. She's a tough filly with a heart the size of Texas and she showed that she wants to be a racehorse. Her first two races were filled with unfortunate circumstances beyond her control, but sh...

Seriously? I can't even stand the tone of this board anymore. I strongly agree with you. I used to come here to learn and find helpful information, but anymore the tone is so condescending, negative and almost elitist. Like with any internet forum, there are those that claim to know it all,...

One man's trash is another man's treasure! :) I have taken and been successful with many "throwaways." Oh, how true that is in anything we do in life. I have to share a couple of those instances that relates to the business. I purchased 2 geldings two years ago for $500. Gave them personalized atte...

Here's a recently uploaded video of one her potentially horrible immediate siblings putting in his bullet work. I love his work ethic and stride. He's all business and we've yet to sit down and really ask a lot of him because he's only been at the track 30 days. Prefer to take it slow. http://www.yo...

Thanks so much for the candid reply. I know these are tough times for a lot of people. I suppose I should go pick up her half sibling at the track and save myself some money even though he's put in two pretty good works after being at the track 30 days. He put in a bullet work Monday with the closes...

What's she worth?
Tough question, I know, but I recently acquired a daughter of Runaway Groom http://www.pedigreequery.com/dreams+fly 4 yrs old, has not raced only due to previous owner running out of funds. Was at a training track as a 2 yr old and was galloping in company with no issues. Was turned out her 3 yr old...

Fit To Fight mare suggestions
Wanting to pick brains. Just acquired a mare that will be bred for a "breed to race" foal in Indiana. Not opposed to going outside the state realizing it will not be eligible for the sired races, but that's OK. Her name is Royal Knockout by Fit To Fight out of Princess Winki. She's a maiden with gre...

Free yearling filly by Strong Contender
Preface this by saying if you are interested in this horse, you need to contact the stable where she is being boarded . A friend is boarding a yearling filly by Strong Contender out of Stormin Jane. The owner cannot afford the stud fee to obtain the breeders certificate nor the fee to register her w...
