Thanks, all. Found him through this thread. Actually, found him through his very smart wife who saw the thread & put 2+2 together! And what I've learned is the older the records on any of the sources, the less accurate (For example, many lack charts on those services, many that have charts don't...

I would try to contact the NY licensing authorities and see what they can tell you. If he was training he had to be licensed. I might try that - I wonder how well they keep 20 year old records. Thanks. You might post his name, maybe someone can verify for you. Thanks Fireslam. I was being intention...

Help tracking down a trainer from the late 80s/early 90s?

Looking for suggestions to find a training record on a guy who claims he trained at Belmont/Aqueduct in the late 80s/early 90s, got out of it for quite a while & now is training in NY/NJ/PA. He gave me his name (it is a very common name), the years he says he was training & his number of win...

I can understand why the judges liked the message of the first story, even though I didn't actually enjoy it because I didn't identify with any character. It's difficult to develop a character personality in that short of a story & to develop personalities for a bunch of ordinary people who don'...

Wishing him safe trips on the track - last year was awful for stallions sent back to race from failed stud duty, so I cringe when I see news like this.

Try http://www.nybreds.com/ for the NYbred rules - scroll down; look at the links on the left.

I understand PA will begin writing some state restricted races & are also doing some PA-sired races. Ruaff is right. It is difficult to compare a mature program like NY with a newbie like PA.

Questions on no-guarantee seasons

I have many questions about no guarantee seasons. If you had a mare you wanted to breed & sell, would you go the traditional LFG route, knowing you lose the guarantee if you sell the mare, or would you negotiate with the stallion manager for a NG season? In fact, if the mare is entered in a sale...

Perhaps the date of the original post?

It was posted at the end of the Dec. sale; I think you were looking at the Feb. results.

And her 2nd dam's half to Summer Tan, 3rd in the Kentucky Derby in 1955 [that would be the year Swaps won it] & set new track records from 6.5 to 13 furlongs . . . for history buffs looking for a reason to give this mare a home!
