Apropos this topic, is there any recent 21st century horse carrying a relatively close dose from the great AMBIORIX? Seems like he is now a curious asterisk of the past, uh? This horse was born in 1999, but raced in the '00s. Ambiorix apparently was a sire into the '70's so there are a few close de...

I've been trying to find out what happened to him for a while. He must be pretty sound to have made 46 starts. Didn't see him listed on last year's Report of Mares Bred, but I hope he has gotten a chance at stud.

It's a cultural taboo in the Anglophone countries to eat horse meat, something that probably goes back to the Celtic goddess Epona in Britain. I wonder w...

Include has a younger full brother, Encaustic, who was still racing last year. Does anyone know if he is at stud now?

We may not have to wait that long. It will be interesting to see how this colt turns out. He's not a mistake in the database - he's also listed at Equineline. A chestnut, just like LAW.

In Britain, it may be pronounced "sinSimon", just as St. Clair is pronounced as "sinclair" and St. John is pronounced as "sinjin".

Re: 1975 Kentucky Derby

Had Bombay Duck on the lead in the fastest time ever to the 3.4, when, according to legend, he got hit in the head by a tossed beer can. Oh man, I'd forgotten that! You're right. Not to hijack the thread, but does anybody remember the smoke bomb that got tossed out on the track during the '76 Derby...

Confused by the similar silks of Foolish Pleasure and Prince Thou Art, he described Prince Thou Art as the leader d...
