Joe Taylor said to use a 150 watt light bulb. Make sure it covers the entire stall. If the mare can get her head into a dark corner, then it will not work.

He also said to keep her under lights until the natural light took over in spring.

First, don't blanket that mare. Second, don't worm her for the next three months. Do a fecal egg count and worm ONLY as needed. Everytime you worm, you are introducing poison into the system. Phil stopped bidding on ManOWar at $4,000 when his partner got cold feet. Later he was told by Mr. Riddle's(buyer) man that he was given instructions not to go over $5,000.

So the picture could have been a joke to his old partner...

If the filly worked at an official track then the times will be "officially recorded". You can get any works from equineline.com or contact the race office of the track.
