Admittedly I'm not the pedigree whiz some people are, but isn't Preach a mare? You are absolutely correct. Sorry, I blew it, lol. I meant to write SPEAK , stallion by Mr. Prospector out of Narrate by Honest Pleasure. The confusiion on my part came because Speak is sa full sibling to PREACH [and als...

Does anybody have the whereabouts of PREACH?

This stallion apparently has changed ownership recently. Stood in Oclahoma previously. Any info would be most helpful.

Thanks

Hi Sb, Which stallion that won the Kentucky Derby was the best one at stud Clyde Van Dusen , without question would have been but some idiot gelded him. Pete The answer to my own question is UNBRIDLED, I believe, and interestingly, he was trained by Carl Nafzger. Small comfort, of course, sind it w...

I watched the race over and over. Street Sense ran a great race, Borel did everything right. He took advantage of the opportunities when they were presented. He won the race, nobody told Curlin though. Curlin ran green the whole race and made one of the boldest moves I have ever seen that close to ...

Re: Is she a good broodmare prospect?

Looking at this mare as possible addition to my band if she's not sold already. 'Who Cares Girl' -(Allen's Prospect-Leopard Lily) Possible mating to Gone Fishin. No offense please, but looking at this mare's pedigree for race breeding, I would pass as she doesn't have much to show for. You must ask...

Lovely homebred grey reg TB mare, 17 hands

This six year old paternal granddaughter of FERDINAND is for sale for the first time since I sold her as a coming 3 year old to a friend of mine who died a year later, so daughter took in her Mom's horses for sentimental reasons mainly, but now she has decided she can only keep one of the two, and t...

Oh wow! I could have a twofer for $5,000! http://www.equinenow.com/horse-ad-35451 I don't know if it would be able to run much but I like this mare for a sport type and she looks like she'd complement him well. Dang why do I never have money?! Gee, summerhorse. You had seemed interested in br...

Re: Opinion/comments on new La stallion 'Ford Every Stream'
I think he is pretty common. Wait a couple of years and you can buy him for what his advertised stud fee is.
HIs pedigree is not so common, I'm afraid. What is the %age of stallions making it at stud? This is a rhetorical quesiton.... Most stallions can only be as good as the mares ...

Found an article about Kabel, the year he rode Ford Every Stream in the Queen's Plate... http://www.canoe.ca/Slam020617/hor1-sun.html I also just wanted to mention, he went off as the favourite for the QP that year. Looking back he raced against some tough and durable racehorses in the QP: Yes, tha...

I think he looks like he should've run long on the grass. I absolutely agree with this observation and thus also wonder whether he is the right kind of stallion for La. But that's not what I'm interested in. I'm looking for stamina and speed combination which his pedigree seems to portrait. Sb

Ford Every Stream is from a Sam-Son Farm family. In 2002, he was their "big" 3-year-old, and ran 4th in the Queen's Plate. He's a half to SW Surging River, and his half sister Go First Class is the dam of GSW Silver Ticket. He's also a half brother to Ride The Westwind, a MSW winner who has shown s...

So very true, and soundness inside and out is another real issue today, not to mention the quality of training.
