Re: How does the JC check to make sure that

AI is done all the time. The farms stockpile semen and use it if the stallion can't perform for whatever reason on a given day, or the mare can't be mounted for whatever reasons. Not a myth, I've seen it done. All on the very hush hush, with a wink.

Re: Claimed or Not

The claim was voided by the vet. They do this in Calif. Horse has to be sound in order to be claimed so this horse goes back to his original barn.

delete double entry

In the progeny of Halley's Field, there are 2 Thunder Man (Thunderman) listed. The first one is correct. I don't know where the other one came from but I couldn't delete him.
Thanks.

Re: We're going to belmont!!!

Agree on the mare, bdw. Racing business dictates that any time you can make money with a sale, you should. But, she's owned by Colburn and Perry, the same guys that turned down 6 million for CC. Can't believe Lucky Pulpit's fee didn't go higher than 5K. If CC wins the Triple Crown, surely a Kentuck...

Wow. You were so lucky on so many levels. I don't think I would send my mare back to that farm. There is a level of trust there that is obviously missing.
Cute foal, good luck!

The 1% that should be discussed is the fact that it won't harm the top of the game. Ascot, Saratoga, and signature races will continue to do well. The government will not have to get involved, because there will be nothing left to govern. Taxed it will be, but governed- no need. The putative fans a...

Nice race, Tappiano. He made a really nice move around the turn, then came to the inside in the stretch. Nice learning race. And a 4th place finish first time out is great.
