My friend asked me to post a link to the article she wrote - which, I believe, has pretty much to say to this topic. Although written in Czech, I think it's easy to understand the main part, which is a list of thoroughbred sire lines and their ancestors competing in London Olympics. Phrase "v mat. l...

Well, that's enough. I've been around for some years, I know this happen again and again... Nothing new, no concern. But after I've read about Union Rags, you know what was my first thought? I believe that from it's beginning, horse-racing is supposed to be a TESTING. With three year olds injured a ...

I just love her record: wins: 0, earnings: 0
Actually, I've heard about the same case, daughter bred by her own sire... resulting foal was born this year, although I don't know their names. Still happens sometimes...

Re: dosage & aptitudinal question

is the CD & DI for this mare a typo? STONEY VENTURE M, 1993 DP = 15-5-0-0-0 (20) DI = Inf CD = 1.75 if not what does it mean? Nope, it isn't a typo. Look: DI = 15+5+0 / 0+0+0 There are only zeroes under the line, you can't define the result, thus you can't define DI. CD = (2x15+5) - (0+0) / 15+...

My first thought... Tiznow! I still remember that Frankie Dettori called him "dinosaur" once... Him and Zenyatta, well... I'm pretty sure I wouldn't want to meet that animal aged five or later  But seriously... Speaking of really proven and top sires only, for me it's Giant's Causeway. Gr...

Smart Strike - Farda Amiga colt, 25K and not sold... You gotta be kidding me! Buyers may be starting to say, "Five foals of racing age and no winners . . . You gotta be kidding me!" Ahhh, that's the information I missed! I don't know anything about her foals and I kind of forget it's ...

I was also wondering about Honey Rider foal.... I was trying to find the answer here. Just checked results of session 2 and there are three or four horses consigned by Adena which all were sold for 20 or 30K... Any more inside informations? Like why is that...? Also, why they didn't put a reserve on...

Fly to the Stars

Just came to Czech Republic for 2010 breeding season. Any thoughts on him as a stallion, or on his foals? There are no informations about him... except his racing career... Any opinion is very appreciated.
Thank you :)

I found quite interesting information today. St. Leger winner Provoke (1962) was imported to Russia, but he died soon and left just only one foal, a colt named Prognoz. Prognoz was unraced, due to injury he suffered as a foal - he broke his pastern, but because of his pedigree, he was retired to stu...

Speaking of Sham as a sire of sires... His sireline has never been something you could consider "strong sires line", has it? :?: From Sham, Endeavour... back to Colombo and Manna, there's no really strong sire. At least from my superficial knowledge, I've never been interested in this sireline very ...
