She was about 3 lengths ahead when GW got out. She then went about 4 clear of him as he wound up. At the end there were maybe 2 lengths separating them. The filly was eased...but not a huge amount, as was GW before the line I've just asked a friend to make sure im not going insane and he thinks you ...

Darjina's performance was very good but shes going to struggle in France or travelling to the UK or Ire because she needs fast ground. At royal ascot she got beat 7 lengths on gd to soft which shows the difference it makes to her. Not sure what the racing plans are for her, i think shes in the sun c...

Not anymore, according to what ive read today it seems O'brien will only send her to the Arc if he has got a bunch of colts he thinks are not competitive enough. With Alexandrova effectively being retired this week (top Coolmore older filly) i can see Peeping Fawn taking on her targets which were fi...

haha indeed...I hope Murtagh didnt have the choice! Seriously though, Yellowstone didnt show his running and im a bit confused why they decided to lead for much of the race, hes usually well off the pace. Was a nice performance by the winner though. Did they say anything about whether Alexander tang...

Worth noting, while Murtagh has been riding a lot of Ballydoyle horses this year he is not retained by Coolmore, so presumably he would have had a pick of Doctorr Dino and Yellowstone having ridden both for the last few runs? Not sure to be honest... Earlier on the card Costume ran 2nd behind a fill...

Lawman retired

The French-bred son of Invincible Spirit, pretty much made all to win the French derby under Dettori and was being aimed at the Arc. He's picked up an infection and will not race again. He has been purchased by Ballylinch Stud.

Watching him sweep from 2nd last (i think) to 1st on the overhead blimp was some sight, in what looks a strong guineas. Also showed great heart running in the St James' Palace stakes with that injury.

I would rate Peeping fawn as doubtful to travel. The comments straight after her last race all pointed to jockey and trainer wanting the Arc as her goal. Depends what the Coolmore boys want though at the end of the day.

GW showed he stays the 10f trip in the Eclipse, where he was a short head behind Authorised on ground with some ease. The trip did not beat him there, he was beaten by a better horse (or not if you think he was hampered enough). Agreed on why he ran last year though. Out of interest what race would ...

Asiatic boy would have strong claims, not sure it was the best thing to do running in England with the weight for age allowance (or lack of) of southern hemesphere bred runners. Soundly beaten because of it on both starts. Has to be said from a UK and European perspective, our contingent looks marke...
