are you thinking overo or tobiano ? I am not aware of any tobiano TB's but there are a couple overo/rabicano TBs.

amy,
if she's too close to a wall and just went down encourage her to get up. pulling a horse around is dangerous for all concerned.
honestly, you may be worrying for nothing. mares usually get it right even without us. :-)

Maybe a 2 pronged strategy would work (JC or AQHA) to encourage more selective breeding choices? Registry assn charges stallion owner a significant fee for filing the annual stallion report - whether you breed 1 mare or 100 mares - plus a charge per mare; for example: $1,000 a year base charge for t...

amy, in my experience, the real key is being there when they foal in case the mare goes down with her tail too close to a wall. that can happen even in a 20x20 stall, but obviously the risk is higher the smaller the stall (and the bigger the mare). is this her first foal? can you open up a wall betw...

The stormy atlantic broodmare prospect (557) that sold at the end of the sale was very athletic look...

maven

Maven,

would you expect that much interest in a yearling from the freshman crop for strong contender relative to the $10k fee? any other 2nd year studs that you like for this cross?
why do you prefer a total outcross?
