If you look at the thread in question, those horses did not come skinny, they ended up that way afterwards.

They do have a completely different metabolic rate then other horses, especially right off the track. Muscle burns more calories then fat does. Which is why an athlete can eat more and stay trim. I don't find that I need much protein, rather more fat. I feed a complete feed that is high in fiber and...

THANK YOU. I am a TB rescue, majority of the time I get them right off the track. I generally see "let down" of the ones that were racing on steroids in about 30 days after they get here. They require many more calories then your average horse, it's not rocket science...FEED THEM. Example: This TB i...

You keep right on lying to yourself!!!. That 20 year old mare came to you in good condition and now looks emaciated. So did the other horses, so what if you recently took them in, they looked good when they came to you, just like Electric Charlie and Capital Crime did, but then they all go downhill ...

How can anyone take feeding advice from someone with horses that look like this? Especially when they didn't start off that way. http://milestonefarmsandequinerescue.farming.officelive.com/images/100_1355.jpg Horse all the way on right: http://milestonefarmsandequinerescue.farming.officelive.com/ima...

Thank you. I just got a list of the 2 year olds and added them to my virtual stable so I can see how they do. They all just turned 2 so none of them have started yet. Cocky is actually owned by Mill Ridge farm in KY, but Godstone stood him for 1 season. I was told when I got That's Personal that Hoi...

Very nice baby.. Did you ever inquire to Godstone about the previous owners of this mare. They would have information about her on file. She is a young mare, who it looks like this was her first foal. Why was she headed to New Holland???? Just wanted to clarify, she wasn't heading to New Holland wh...

Yes I did speak to them. This is her 2nd foal the first foal was a 2007 Colt by Cetawayo which Godstone Farms currently owns. Simply put the owner of That's Personal ran into some personal difficulties and sold a bunch of horses, they all ended up at New Holland, That's Personal was one of them alon...

Out of curiosity just wondering what you guys think of this girls pedigree. I am a rescue and not well versed on TB pedigrees, just curious to see what this girl is bred for. She is entered in Pedigree Query as : MyPersonalCocktale
