Don't most people today regard front bandages as a warning of injury or soreness? I believe they do. And I'm wondering when that started. I'm guessing it started with the escalation of the "claiming game". Some trainers used it to "scare off" potential claims. Others used it to cover up "paints" an...

Actually Sam...if I were to want to "make you look bad", I would either post some of your "Sam Piper" posts off the internet, OR ...(there's that CHOICE thing again), just let you go on and on as only YOU can! I can see your frustration though...how you've had to tone it down so much on this ...

But YOU chose to blame your Mom for your failings. Please show me where I indicated I blamed my mom for any "failings." In the following quote, wherein you automatically take a two-part "either/or" sentence and YOU ASSUME I was insulting your mother. I have one mom, I don't need a few dozen others ...

what happened with making comments about your vote and sticking to the topic? I did... and two people chose to insult me, which I can deal with. ONE chose to insult my mother... I'm exhibiting a little restraint and choosing not to rip her ass apart for being the bitch she clearly is. I'm wondering...

I have one mom, I don't need a few dozen others trying to police my language or opinion. Either your Mom didn't teach you very well, or you are just not a good student  And you think insulting my mother is a mature adult response, BJ? I find it to be right in line with the comment I responded...

Allow any topic , but disallow, as a permanent rule, behavior that uses foul language to attack either the poster, or the poster's opinion. And name-calling of any kind, shall be grounds for either temporary or permanent bans. NO ONE has a constitutional right to go through life unoffended. I'm sor...

I read once that Secretariat was actually supposed to be pronounced "Secret Ariat", but I have no idea what an ariat is. It must be horse related in some way, there is the giant equestrian company "Ariat" of course. Anyone know??? Adapted From: WordNet 2.0 Copyright 2003 by Princeton University. Al...

Does anyone know what a Mutakddim is? Or an Aljabr? Or an Alwuhush? Or an Anabaa? Or a Dumaani? Or an Eqtesaad? For all we know, these could all be curse words. Does the Jockey Club do any research on what these words mean? Suppose two Sheikhs get into a fight and one says, "Go Mutakddim yourself!!...

In looking at some old photographs in the Exclusively Equine catalog, I noticed that the photo of Exterminator, in a race, had both Exterminator and his adversary with 4 wraps. They also seem higher than today's wraps. I'm just wondering if the use of 4 wraps is what kept so many horses going sounde...

Your poll doesn't INCLUDE what I find most offensive... I would add this choice: Allow any topic , but disallow, as a permanent rule, behavior that uses foul language to attack either the poster, or the poster's opinion. And name-calling of any kind, shall be grounds for either temporary or permanen...

He loves to give much advise, yet has had little success...yet when some one else gives good advise he attacks them? Or it is ju...
