Interesting. I took a mare to him last year in KY and will be a pa bred in April if all goes well. Will report on foal at that time. He is very impresive physically in person.

Local stallion in MD Gators N Bears actually has Notebook, Caps and Bells/Raja Baba on the female side. Interested in thoughts on this mating along same lines as previous postings as respects trying to reproduce the Delaware Township cross.

Kimberly, Thanks. Really appreciate the well thought out feedback. I too liked the Point Given cross for New Meaning. Interested in your comment on "deep grass background" - what part of New Meaning's pedigree do you attribute that to? I had been looking for a cross to Notebook to duplicate Delaware...

I should probably add one more item - I am breeding to race.

Thanks.

Jump Start, Officer, Point Given, Pleasantly Perfect

Looking for some mating advice with my 2 broodmares with these stallions. Leaning towards KY at this point, as not sold on the percentages of getting a Graded Stakes level winner regionally in the Mid-Atlantic. Looking to keep stud fees at total of about $45,000 or less - so most likely would be one...

Good points made on Real Quiet and he was on my short list. However, I could not pull the trigger when I heard too many stories of fertility issues last year, foals that will never run based on crooked legs or club feet... so I agree with you that he does have powerful positives - the problem is the...

Real Quitet? He was crooked himself and why he went for 37k and many of his offspring have club feet, somewhat crooked themselves. While I would be the first to say everyone once in awhile he has a super horse if you get lucky (Midnite Lute recently), not the first I would list for soundness in PA. ...

Appreciate the feedback. Sounds like it may make sense if part of the telephone only auction, but not worth pursuing the ones part of the live bids in KY.... Thanks.

Upcoming TCA Stallion Auction

Has anyone had experience purchasing a NG season at the Stallion Auctions such as the upcoming one of Thoroughbred Charities of America? Pretty nice list of stallions available. I have always purchased a live foal guarantee.... with NG I understand most of the conditions - only question was do you g...

Fappies Notebook is interesting idea, as Notebook cross certainly worked with Delaware Township. Where is he standing in Florida? I just wish it was closer as vanning back and forth with the foals to KY last year was a lot of work and gets expensive.....

Thanks Griff. Fu Peg foal was before we purchased the mare in foal to Roman Ruler. Fu Peg Stud fee a little out of my league...... I will check out the ones you mentioned. Do you like Dance with Ravens pedigree with with our mare Eye Appeal? Got a nice nick on it, but many on this forum seem to be a...

Thanks Griff. However, Not for Love is at 25K stud fee and we are looking to keep it below $10k this year. Also, note we are looking to race versus breed commercially. Any thoughts on Domestic Dispute or Dance with Ravens?

Thanks Madelyn. Would appreciate hearing the detail behind why you like those two. I have not heard good things on Real Quiet from other PA breeders I have spoken with. Not a real high fertility rate, lots are crooked or with club foot....however, I do not deny some can really run when everything wo...
