two chestnuts don't make a bay

Hazen Point 1967 is listed as dkb/brn but her parents Edmundo and Army Dish are both listed as chestnuts. Any way to find out the correct color(s)?

Fabric Hoop Barns

I'm interested in learning more about those fabric hoop barns I have seen on the net. They might fit the ticket for storing a lot of round bales. I'd be concerned about how they hold up in the wind. Anyone have any experience with one?

OK, here is another scenario. A stallion service is donated to a charitable organization outside of KY (let's use Iowa for example). The charitable organization sells the stallion service at auction. The stallion stands in KY where the mare is serviced. How is this legallly a SALES tax that the char...

I was scouring the local adds and found a cute TB riding horse for sale locally. They weren't using her real name in the add but when I investigatged I found out she was by Hennessy out of a Damascus mare and had sold for over $200k as a yearling. We made a deal to trade my pony for this mare with t...

Winning POSSE mare just off the track

Beth's Posse is a 5 year old winning mare who had her last race in December. She is sound to go back to the track or she will be ready for the breeding shed. Under lights she does not weave or crib. She is advertised on Starquine. Her mother is full / half sister to three graded stakes winners. Loca...

Training Day rates

I realize the trainers day rate for big name tracks is going to be higher than for smaller tracts. Anyone want to repond with what the general day rate is for the tracks they are racing at? I'm running in the mid-west and it is approx $50 / day. I'm particularly interested in PA rates.

Buyers want masculine colts that look like quarter horses with long legs. Fillys, the same look but they don't bring as much money. They also want the yearling to be by a commercial sire..or at least one of the top regional sires if selling in a regional market. If the yearling is a 1st or 2nd foal ...

NINE months of gound training!! Good grief what in the world can one teach a horse using ground training that he didn't learn while he was at the tractk. I suspect the 'neurological disorder' is that the current owner doesn't have the skills to handle this horse.

Her next TB foal was not offset but extremely over at the knees, next TB foal was fine and the next foal toed out a lot(even with bridgin...

Cow hay not fit for horses stored outside since last summer is 40 - 65 a round bale here. Sounds like a great bargain although the shipping is an unknown factor.

I understand what people are saying about snippy comments. I once asked about breeding a mare that is full sister to a graded SW and 1/2 sister to two other graded SW colts and basically told to send her to a 1k stallion. Another mare by a SWing stake producing mare with a $1M+ earner and a $600k ea...
