Most of the stud share deals I have seen lately are calculated at 2 seasons per year for the first 4 years and 1 season per year after that. You get on a payment schedule with the full fee for the two seasons due at the begining of each year for four years. $30k 8 4 years = $120k If that is how it i...

The ones I saw at farms were very nice. It would be impossible to say why they were out though.

I agree Griff. Rok, If only we could all be so lucky as to throw a bunch of G1 goats. I agree they haven't been the soundeest bunch but their broodmar band is still pretty strong. But please let me know if your mares are stronger. Seems all you do on this site is talk bad about horses and their owne...

At that price, I would say he'll need to be between 30-40k next year. I am not sure how much they overpaid though. It would seem a huge increase, but perhaps they were speculating that he would be a 100k stallion in a few years. Then, they would have gotten a bargain. I'll go on a limb and say he'll...

I believe to have the RF, you need to reach the reine de course mare through two different offspring, so Bluegrass Cat wouldn't meet the criteria.

I stand by David Wade as my top recommendation, but if I had to suggest an alternate it would be Becky Davis.

Does anyone know what happened to NAMESAKE? I can't believe there would be no interest in standing the full sibling to Storm Cat when there are so many poor sons at stud.

In Maryland, Contact David Wade at Northview Stallion Station. He runs their consignment division. He is a class act and as honest a person as I have met in the thoroughbred industry.

22k for a Pulpit. You better have him thoroughly vetted. They may juice him up and he may run a bit in the show, but I bet he has big issues.

The best sire in Maryland is Not For Love. Period. However, for just speed, I also like Lion Hearted. He has not had many that can go farther than 6 furlongs.

I really like Partner's Hero. He gets good sound runners with less than stellar mares. He is really good looking and is under priced for a breed to race stallion. At the sales he isn't so popular.
