He has never really had a great chance to be successful. He is a great stallion for sport horse crosses as well. You must look at his female sid...

Mikec---Most people are not aware of this fact---- but the casino industy in AC is taxed at a very favorable rate (the best in the country) and has no desire to build casinos in other higher tax locations. Like racetracks their costs go up tremendously with all the additional building they must do t...

FOS---agreed, it does deserve a standing O. I am very optimistic that this plan will work for several reasons. It eliminates some serious waste of money--for starters supporting two facilities it should increase the profit by consolidating more races into fewer days on the days that people will like...

fireslam----I couldn't find "the not likely to be continued comment"-----perhaps this is your own editorial? The reason they are calling this plan experimental is because they have to prove the increase in handle and cost savings of this new plan. If it goes as hoped it will be continued and the exp...

mikec---lets look at it with a few additional points on the table. 1. The NJ industry needs a sustainable business model 2. The costs saved by the industry to pick up a SB track and then lay down a TB track was a minimum of 2 million each year. 3. The money saved with the additional 2 days a week cl...

bohemia-the meadowlands meet will also be run at Monmouth Park this year starting in September after the Monmouth meet is over and running through November 21st. The purses during that meet were announced to be over 300k per card. I would love year round racing but given we can't have that--- this i...
