Kentucky Derby 2022

This group is uncharacteristically QUIET, so I'll open the subject, this year's Derby and runners/prospective winners, etc. SO, I like CYBERKNIFE. Saw him win the Arkansas Derby and was one box away from the Finish Line so got to see how he looked immediately after the race. I'd say he definitely 'l...

Re: MEDINA SPIRIT is dead

Steward - I think you have hit the nail on the head, so to speak. The science of testing and screening blood/urine, etc. for drugs is now capable of detecting infinitesimal amounts of drugs AND distinguishing between the 'illegal' form of a drug, given as an injected fluid with the goal to enhance t...

MUCHO MACHO MAN - Thoughts?

Am considering acquiring a mare sired by MUCHO MACHO MAN for breeding. Without any vet exam as to her broodmare suitability at this point, she meets most of my other basic requirements of a prospective broodmare. Would like to hear this board's members thoughts on MMM as a broodmare sire? Also your ...

CASSANDRA GO dies

I just read of this terrific mare's death at age 25 and thought it timely to note what this very game race mare provided after being retired to the breeding shed: https://www.bloodhorse.com/horse-racing/articles/251098/top-class-producer-cassandra-go-dies https://www...

Re: France Go De Ina's white belly spot

Thanks Toccet & Joltman - I wasn't really sure I was seeing the 'belly spot' and then wondered what it's called when it's not on their belly?

France Go De Ina's white belly spot

In the pre-Preakness news for losing his jockey during his morning workout on the track, I noticed him having a prominent irregular margined white spot just past the girth strap on his right side. He also sports four 'high' white feet with jagged margins above the ankle, just below the hocks/knees. ...

Re: How to find out what a TB you bred and sold was named?

Thanks, Vaponydoc! That link did the trick: my 2YO Sale Colt has been registered as "Singing Dixie" by his new owner. Singing Dixie is by MY GOLDEN SONG(UNBRIDLED SONG) out of Um Melakeh (JUMP START). Now I can put him in my Stable Mail and get notified when he's entered, worked, etc.
