Wonderful pix, Jorge! I'm so happy that the Winning Colours Farm people stepped in and saved CAB's roan offspring.

Oxbow is a bit of an anomaly in terms of colors. Until he's been DNA tested, the best we can say is he's a bay with extensive white ticking. Whether that ticking is the result of sabino, rabicano, or (a very unlikely) one-off mutation is impossible to clarify without pulling a few hairs for UC Davis...

Monastic Springs

Back in September 2009, Monastic Springs (Sadler's Wells x Ipi Tombe) was sold to a breeder in Venezuela. I have been unable to discover his whereabouts or the name of the farm. Any help would be greatly appreciated! :D

Sorry to dredge up an old thread, but I thought it was worth noting that Tosho Falco is in fact a flaxen chestnut and NOT a palomino. I have a picture somewhere that shows his true color. Now if I could just find it. :D

Oh shoot, scratch that. Buckland sold him this year after the breeding season. If his entry here at PQ is correct, he is in Greece. Does anybody know about any farms there? Or a website for Greek racing? (Preferably in English? My ancient Greek is mediocre and my modern Greek isn't at all.)

Prenup?

Anybody know anything about Prenup, a 1991 bay horse by Smarten o/o Homewrecker (thus half to Giant Wrecker)? He was apparently sent to stud in Greece, and I've got a gal wanting to know if he's still alive. Thanks! :)

I took a look at your website---very interesting! So Naevus was a splash white? http://www.pedigreequery.com/naevus What about New Trieste? Sabino or Splashed White? Or neither? http://www.turfexpress.com/stud/horses/static_pages/trieste.ws Like Summerhorse said, both Naevus and New Trieste are sab...

Wow, that is really neat! Interesting that they both go back to the Alcock Arabian (just like The Tetrarch's family). I wonder why that particular grey line survives as the source of grey in the TB when virtually no other (that I know of) does. Maybe his grey get were just faster. Pretty neat whatev...

The color is called manchado (hence the horse's name), and it is believed to be related to the overo pinto patterns. Strangely, though the pattern has been seen in a variety of breeds, namely Criollos, Hackneys, Arabs, and TBs, it is only found in Argentina-bred horses. There is some thought that it...
