Oh and case in point... horse claimed off such a trainer, by a 20% trainer (very respectable).. within 60-90 days drops off the "cliff" and doesnt run same numbers again... Not until 60 days has passed. And some going to breeding shed lose weight and lose hair I've heard... That's not normal.

Ding Ding Ding... It is IMPOSSIBLE to win at 40-50% at major tracks if you are not running the best horses at the lowest spots... OR if you are using SOMETHING. Please take it from an inside point of view. I know you all think you know it, but this issue is pretty obvious when you see a horse consis...

Depends on what your idea of "decent" is, there aren't many in my mind. But I know quite a few of them.

This area in MD day rates are $50-75 a day. I'm on the low end, and know certain high percentage trainers are at $65 and 75. Both of those trainers I"ve improved horses off of. So take that for what it is worth.

WV charles town the day rates are lower, 35-60.

Those bits are totally different types... The ring bit in theory is for "most" horses, and the triabit it appears is just a more comfortable version of it. I have seen a couple here in Maryland, and was going to get one myself and then honestly forgot about it. But the other bits you mentioned are f...

I was told bad pay but I had agreed to take the mare for myself... When she didnt work out after two weeks I gave them two options pick up mare or send papers. So no money was to exchange hands. All they had to do was use stud fees to pay the old training bill and get the stallions papers. They wait...

Oh, and the filly, I've had her for 8 months now. I leased her to a riding school, but the "bandage bows" that bothered her two weeks into galloping have already flared up twice so I am not sure what I will do if she can't hold up to w/t/c lessons. I do now know what the hurry was to drop her off to...

It is a vent, and yes it is to out them. It is bad for business!!!!! I did not breed to their stallion, but I did offer a very reasonable way to salvage their reputation and their stallion. I was asked to try to help by the agent that set it up. So I did try. They were totally unreasonable and I tru...

I'm not even concerned about the abandoned mare(although papers would've been nice)... just really hope the mares owners that bred to the stallion realize what happened (and that they had a way out they chose not to take in favor of a really unrealistic path)

bad for business!!

I dealt with some "breeders" back in may that had an unstarted 5 yo mare my father wanted to give the benefit if the doubt because he trusts people way too easily. Said horse was dropped off and two weeks into the little experiment I found out why. Contacted them as they had not left papers... they ...

My muddy areas I scrape with the bucket of the skid loader, and then put down the tree chips that Asplundh will deliver for free. After they get soaked and muddy you might need to put more down after scraping them again. But, if you scrape well and tamp down what you drop for tree chips then it does...
