I am sure it is all worry for nothing....she is just so large and her left side sits so much larger. Been doing this a long time and never had a mare this large before. Throwing me for a loop. We had company over last night and they have not seen this mare and they are horse people, but low end plea...

Sorry...I went back and reread the dates the Ranch emailed me on when the stud was running with the mares....it was Aug 8th to 11th only. I knew as I was typing my last post it did not sound right. I always base it on 340 days then always just keep a close eye for foaling signs. I know different bre...

Interesting...but there is no way we would get near this mare to do that. We where not even able to sedate her when I first learned she may be in foal. I wanted my vet to do an ultra sound to see for sure and the only way that was going to happen was to sedate her, HEAVILY. But she was way to wild f...

Yes I realize at this point there is nothing to be done....and we are all hoping for the best and mostly hoping that she just carries heavy and is not twins at all. I have over 20 years experience with foaling and can honestly say I have a 100% live foal rate on on my single births as from the years...

Possible Twins
We took on an older QH mare last Sept from a local gal that was not able to care for her anymore. Horse was in good health and weight she just realized that she could not care for her anymore due to her past history. Young gal not very horse savvy so was in my opinion a good move. Horse had been use...

A filly I bought as a just coming 2 year old severed hers from kicking a wood fence, and was told by previous owner the vets told her she would be nothing but a glorified brood mare. At the time I had a vet intern boarding with me and 1 year later with religious treatment she was 100% sound. Vet cle...

So if suspended what does that mean exactly for him....is he banned from the track for that period of time and is that just in CA? Does he sit at home and twiddle his thumbs until suspension is over? I really feel for him. Know one really knows what goes on in one's heart and mind, he seems adamant ...

I TOTALLY AGREE to all....totally, and even agree with Elprado. I just wanted to know if I should do the change NOW with such a SMAL SMALL change, it literally is just a few scattered white hairs. She is almost 3 and I plan to race her as a 3 year old...but if these few white hairs stay the same and...

Pfrsue you are absolutely correct...but I can only bite my tongue so long when someone like he/she acts like a fool over and over and just does not know when to stop.....and from his/her PM I now know why, he/she thinks they are a genius with an IQ of 180 and at 11 should have been teaching at Yale....

Madalyn...thanks I did get the answer...I just was not sure with the few hairs she is showing. I have seen horses have to change papers 2 and 3 times and was not sure if I should wait until told to do so and if they would feel the little hairs she does have justifies a change....but it looks like it...

Elprado...I have come to the conclusion you are an idiot....nothing you just posted was factually in any way, shape or form and nothing you said is what I said at all, and all you want to do is argue. Grow up. And at a PHYICALLY the age of 2 years and 5 months old, she is NOT turning gray at a "typi...

I wish I could post a pic....not sure how to emphases that the white hairs she is showing are SO extremely minimal. And beside the few white hairs nothing elce has changed. She is the color of Accphoto's avatar picture, just a small blaze on her face though and some white socks...but the hairs are s...

Had I asked the opinion on what each felt her color MAY end up in a year or so I would totally agree with you.....but I didn't....I asked if one would have to change papers (hence the subject line) on either a small or big change. I already knew the answer to the big change, I have had horses before...
