If you are truly concerned, log into the Jockey Club website and make sure that he didn't also do a Transfer of Ownership there--which would be much more official than anything that happens on this site. As for the ownership listed here, anyone can change anything. Why don't you go and change it back?

It's really a shame when the weather makes the sales process so much harder than it needs to be. Best of luck to you with your colt!

I can assure you there were no weanlings falling through the cracks. If the horse sold poorly it likely had a poor vet report because if your report was clean your numbers were flying. Sitting in the bar the overwhelming statement was "I keep getting shut out" and "I still need 4 more". I think the...

Re: Keeneland November Sale

Wouldn't it be kind of awesome if the Mosses got Eblouissante? If not them, c'mon Mandy Pope. She loves to spend to get the best broodmare prospects. It's hard to see this filly as anything other than ideal. Her female family is fantastic. While I'm sure there will be a lot of interest in Eblouissa...

Sorry horsemen.

Absolutely true. But first he's got to win that nice stakes race, and his conformation indicated that that will be a tough hill to climb. Maybe you should have been there?

watching session 9, so far my impression is shock at some of the low prices, like the Candy Ride weanling #3115. He deserved his price. Occasionally horses fall through the cracks but there were at least a hundred horsemen hanging around the back walking ring today, most of them looking for somethi...

If you're still talking about the weanlings, what lifts their prices is being big and athletic and vetting well. And having the right sire(s).

We seldom bet on our own horses, unless we happen to think of it as soon as we get to the track. When race time comes, we're busy. And besides, as my husband always points out: we've already taken a huge gamble--we have the horse in the race.

Barry Irwin has never been shy about expressing his opinions, and in this case history proves him wrong, at least with regard to his comments about General Quarters, whom he characterizes as a horse so crooked that he would be "severely compromised if he had to prove himself on dirt". (His argument ...

If you look at this list--which shows, among other things, cumulative stakes winners and cumulative foal numbers for the top broodmare sires--you can do your own calculations: http://www.bloodhorse.com/horse-racing/ ... /broodmare
