Re: Ringtail Galloway

RG's pedigree differs depending on the source consulted. Not sure why it's been changed but I'll ask someone more familiar than I with the muddy waters of the early Brit records to have a look at it.

Re: New Japanese White Family

His 5th dam is one of several unknowns in his dau. Wind Appaloosa's pedigree. She's NSB, as is everything tracing to her in that pedigree including Miss Hakuho herself.

Re: CAMPAIGN LAUNCHED TO PROTECT FUTURE OF THE BRITISH STAYE

Great article & video. Thanks for posting the link. I'm not inclined to put much stock in the remarks about "Seattle Slew line " mares losing their stamina due to being bred to "speedier families". Genotypically, aptitude isn't dictated by "lines" or "families&...

Re: Every year

Congrats on the filly! She's back in the db. Record's locked. IP addresses are indeed logged. I don't have access to that info but will bring the problem to the attn. of the site owners.

Please clarify. Per the NTR 2015 Conditions of Entry non-TB stallions are still NTR eligible - as produce of NTR mares and/or as sires of NTR foals.

Re: Please fix pedigree error

There are 3 horses named "He" which is obviously not a name, it's just someone starting an entry. The mare Vixenish has a Stormy Atlantic colt by another name and I went to delete the other 2011 entry. It didn't gimme a captcha to type in and I think it has something to do with the horse'...

Re: Full Cry (1866) - bay or chestnut?

She's recorded as bay under her dam ASB 2:327. Subsequent records showing her as chestnut may be due to clerical error. Or her coat color may simply have been ambiguous. With two horses (*Tranby & Emuckfaw) in her first three gens. that are consistently recorded as brown I think that's a possibi...

Re: Advice for a better site

Welcome to the pq forum! :D If TBs are being bred in Qatar then it does need to be added to the list of nations in the db here. That would have to be done by the site owners. If you'll post the names of locked entries with records in need of editing/updating someone on the research team will unlock ...

Re: Please fix pedigree error

Didn't have any trouble shifting RDR8 info to RDR4 and deleting RDR8. Maybe the db was in a bad mood when you were trying to correct the records...

Re: Primatora 1863

Primatora's dam was Victorine aka: Hattie Stokes. Bruce's somewhat flawed record 1:177 of Ann Chase's produce may be the source of the error in the db entry here. It's been corrected. Thanks

Re: PLEASE POST ALL DATABASE ENTRY ISSUES IN THIS THREAD

The max number of entries in the db for each name used to be 39. That was increased a while back but the stakes race db apparently hasn't gotten the memo. It recognizes only Daisy[1] - Daisy39, defaulting to that list even when "Daisy41" is specified in the "winner" field. I'll l...

Re: American bloodlines

Along those lines, Bold Ruler is listed as a "Brilliant/Intermediate" as a sire, with a personal 2.68 dosage index. Yet his full brother Independence was a champion steeplechase who was able to win at 20f. That is a very substantial difference in distance ability in two horses with the sa...

Re: Byrd's Old Calista

The old pedigrees are hardly unambiguous on the subj. of Old Calista but Carter's Black Joke is more plausible as her dam than a Silvereye mare for which the only basis known to me is Bruce's flawed (see Harrison, EATS 1:120) entry ASB 1:711 for the tf of Camillus 1773.
