larrygene wrote:Rogue, you of all people should be outraged that this was not updated when A P Indy was made a chef de race!!!! That was 1/8/2008. Don't you have a son of A P Indy??? Well, if you're hypo mating mares to your stallion you are not getting a true dosage profile.

Everything that has A P Indy in its pedigree is incorrect and does not reflect the true dosage figures.

Yes, I do have a son of A.P. Indy... thank you for remembering! And you are correct in assuming that I would really like to see A.P. Indy's new chef de race designation appear in my stallion's hypo-matings, progeny pedigrees, etc. I have also emailed a third person who might be able to get this taken care of. I'm relatively confident that among the three people I contacted about this, one of them will be able to get this taken care of pretty quickly. *Fingers Crossed

Hi Rogue,
Indy Mood has some pedigree, RF and now a son of a chef-de-race....pretty neat:>) I took a look at Indy Moods updated dosage profile. It looks like this DP: 13-14-21-0-0, DI: 3.57, CD: .83, TP: 48. Indy Mood, now being by a son of a chef-de-race will pass on an additional 4 intermediate and 4 classic points to all his offspring. TJ

AGC, if you really don't know and you really want to know, go ahead and click the link provided earlier in this thread; then explore the web site and read up on the chef de race horses.[/quote]

I really dont know, i see the term used alot and was wondering what it meant. Im into racing not the breeding aspect of it.

A.P. Indy has been updated to an I/C chef now and it should be reflected in the calculations on the site.

Hi, TJ... you mean he's by a chef-de-race, not by a son of a chef-de-race... he IS a son of a chef-de-race! I know you know that, but I just wanted to type it a few different ways and enjoy the effect... looks cool!

Wow, it really does make a difference in his pedigree, doesn't it? Now I'm off to go look up his babies and bask in it. 8)

I think a short answer is "influential stallion". It involves Steve Roman and affects his "Dosage system"

Sam, I have the picture of the owls on my computer, only it is labeled like a motivational poster and says: Retards we all know one.
Sorry for the hijack!
