NY Post Sunday June 22...someone tried to steal Island Sand!

Didn't get away with it...from Barne's Noble 's Chairman farm in Long Island.

Anyone else hear anything about this?
They backed a truck up to the gate after 9:30 pm and grabbed her by the halter...tried to load her in; also tried for other broodmares. :shock:

Strange in that same article they state Da Tara is the filly that upset Big Brown. Media - don't they have anyone proof read before it's published?

That's weird, either they are too dumb to know that TBs are DNA'ed or they meant to do a ransom thing? If they knew who the mare was then it would have to be someone who knows or knows about the owner. Can you imagine if it was the garden variety thief who hustles them off to the nearest kill buyer auction?

Probably the same person that spelled a name Nobel Causeway instead of Noble Causeway.

What I found funny was referring to a 38-acre property -- albeit an "estate" as "sprawling". :wink:
