Why I hate PETA..

Postby Crystal » Wed Aug 19, 2009 3:13 pm

I highly doubt Charismatic and War Emblem are next, but PETA believes they are..

and really.. If their 34 stallions are breeding 4800 mares (in japan).. who is really creating the "surplus"..

Skimmed the article - we should fear for any stallion whose stud fee is $5k or less?

Wow!

I'm not well versed on PETA in this regard, but I think the point has to be made that animals are eaten by humans around the world everyday! I didn't ask the hog I butchered in April how he felt about it! I purchased him to let him grow, and then eat him! OK, I'll be a bad guy for eating flesh.

Peta, whatever!

Don't you just love PETA's opinions  They are always so entertaining.

Not to get too far off subject, but isn't the US really the only country that does not consume horse meat?

exactly

Exactly :!: :!: to me there is a huge difference in eating an animal that was raised spefically to be eaten, and eating someone's pet, of any type. The fact that people raise all kinds of hell about what happens to cows at the plants that FDA, etc let slide because of the power of the beef industry, but then think its okay to eat send an animal to slaughter that is full of steroids, antibiotics, all kinds of different medicines, supplements etc, is disgusting, plus skinny to boot! If someone wants to eat them, I dont have the right to argue, I guess, since I am a meateater, but g&^% D(*&), raise them for food to begin with, regulate the industry, and pay a proper price for them! hell maybe then the cattle people wont get every damn acre of land for 1 buck a year, with rights to kill anything else on it, ,maybe the wild horses can get their land back!

what people do in their own countries is there own business. I had no opinion when it comes to what or who you worship/believe in, eat, don't eat, etc.. and I'm sure other countries look down upon Americas for the same thing. I can only do what I can, and only believe in what I do based upon my own opinions. I will eat steer, pig, turkey, chicken, fish, seafood, etc, but never will I , nor my pet dine upon anything equine.
I only buy American made dog food and dog treats. I believe our industry has higher standards for processing pet food. ( I maybe wrong), but its what I believe.
And what I don't believe is two high profile horses went to a foreign land without a return clause in their contracts. Now if the party lives up to that contract is another thing. But War Emblem & Charismatic meat is not going to sell for anymore then the other horse meat.

the truth hurts, I guess. one can "believe" whatever one chooses to believe and hate what one hates, rationally, irrationally, or otherwise. I eat all meat except horse meat, its ok with me that all animals are abused except horses, that sort of thing--when one types this sort of jibberish one may imagine the credibility of such a thought process to a thinking rational person. One can "hate" PETA I suppose, although as I've posted, I'd doubt there are very many animals that hate PETA since PETA, rightly or wrongly, whatever your view on that, seems to want to speak up for them.

If I was an animal being represented by PETA, I would just be highly embarrassed by their ignorance. Sort of like hiring a lawyer and finding out his grammar is awful and his knowledge of the law is even worse. And therefore that every judge in the area is likely to dismiss him, your case, and you. PETA folks, by and large, seem to be just parrots. They don't bother to go out, investigate, or apply even a modicum of intelligence to what they repeat, garble, and repeat.

Charismatic is doing very well as a sire. War Emblem's few foals have done well, and he is very high profile after Ferdinand. He has a retirement home offer from Old Friends. I'm not worried about either one of those horses. I'd worry more about any horse at Arrow Stud.

I agree that PETA with the "fly thing" and Obama was ridiculous, But how many of you WATCHED this video? or, did you choose not to watch it, That horse on that video is one we have all bred, trained, watched win, watched lose, I am "expecting" to get blasted for this, but we are on this earth for only a short period of time, can't we do better?
