I'm excited to see the auction again this year. I've been able to pick up some good gifts from you folks. The bridle that I bought last year was a tremendous bargain for such a good quality bridle.

I bought the Austin Animal art as a gift for my mom to get a sketch of her little dog that just died. He's Max, the Pekinese, on this page:

Notice how well she captures the look of the eyes of these dogs.

It's easy to bid and they make everything smooth for you. Just be sure to click on the Comments link BELOW the item that you wish to bid on.

Thanks majxmom! You are a super supporter of LOPE and we really appreciate it!

For anyone who didn't know, Lynn also wrote a book that was published late last year. The proceeds of the sales also go to the horses.

It's called Beyond the Homestretch

I just spoke to a longtime friend of mine, originally from England, who was almost born in the saddle, has lived most of her life living with horses/working with horses and riding at a very high level. Now, in her 60's she rides out almost daily - at full gallop , rain or shine - on rough trails in the ravined terrain of our SE Texas bayou country and heavy "Thicketed" woods taking fallen trees and gullies at a bound. My friend has probabally 'forgotten' more about horses than I can ever hope to learn and yet claims to always be learning (we all are right?).

I mentioned LOPEtx and Lynn's book - She spoke right up saying "I have that and it's a TERRIFIC book!"
Considering the source that is a HUGE compliment - my friend has little patience for 'fluffy amateur' literature on equines. I can't wait to get myself a copy.

P/S - Planning on being at the LOPETx show with a friend and her daughter at least two horses to show!!!

How wonderful! I am glad you are going to make it to the show! I will be working in the office. There is a Chrissy (me) and a Kristi (my parnter in crime who retrains x race horses for the hunter world).
