Lynn Sattesahn nailed last week's trivia challenge by correctly identifying Nasrullah as the champion sire with two posthumous champion sons (1962 American champion 2yo male Never Bend, a highly successful sire, and 1962 American champion 3yo male Jaipur). The special Belmont Stakes edition of the weekly trivia challenge is now up and awaiting all comers! http://www.americanclassicpedigrees.com/hoofprints

RC came up with the winners again, correctly identifying Bold Bidder and Spectacular Bid as the father-and-son team who set successive 10-furlong records at Santa Anita. This week's question involves a famous broodmare---can anyone identify the lady in question? http://www.americanclassicpedigrees.com/hoofprints

Kudos to Julia who identified last week's mystery horse as Gay Hostess, dam of Kentucky Derby winner Majestic Prince, second dam of Prix du Jockey Club (French Derby) winner Caracolero, and third dam of Kentucky Derby winner Real Quiet and Ever Ready Derby winner Secreto. Let's see who can come up with the identity of this week's mystery mare first! http://www.americanclassicpedigrees.com/hoofprints

Looks like last week's trivia question was a stumper; the answer was La Voyageuse, a half sister to Canadian champions L'Enjoleur and Medaille d'Or who was Canadian champion 3yo filly in 1978, Canadian champion older female in 1979, and Canadian champion sprinter in 1980. A new trivia question now awaits all challengers! http://www.americanclassicpedigrees.com/hoofprints

Krista got there first with last week's question, identifying Falsetto as the Travers Stakes winner with three Kentucky Derby winners (Chant, His Eminence, and Sir Huon) to his credit as a sire. A new trivia question now awaits all challengers!

Scot got the job done last week, correctly identifying Nearctic, Northern Dancer, and Nijinsky II as the grandsire-sire-son Horses of the Year and members of the Canadian Hall of Fame; their common biographer is Muriel Lennox. A new trivia question now awaits all challengers! http://www.americanclassicpedigrees.com/hoofprints

Frost correctly identified 1890 Kentucky Derby Riley as the first winner of that Classic to end his days in the care of a rescue group. Let's see who's first to answer this week's question! http://www.americanclassicpedigrees.com/hoofprints
