Need a couple guinea pigs

Postby milesm » Tue Jun 06, 2006 12:00 am

Hey all,

Working on a new feature of one of my sites and just need a couple people to help me get it launched so I thought I'd ask here to see if anyone is interested. What we're doing is allowing people the ability to create a version of their stable online. You can post pictures, add comments / notes and also get a pedigree of each horse in your 'stable'.

The hope is that people who own horses will post information on the horses they currently have and then there's a way to include the link in things like your signature for this forum. It's sort of a service for people, but we hope to get it working as an advertising mechanism too. It's a great idea, but the problem is, we don't have any nibbles on it yet.

Since we just launched it tonight, I'm hoping someone from this forum would take the time to post information about a few horses they own. Share pictures, pedigrees, etc and just help me get the ball rolling.

More information can be found at:

http://www.equinenow.com/stable.htm

And I'll throw in a incentives too. The first 10 people that manage to fill out and complete information on at least 5 horses in their stables get a free three month subscription to pedigreequery / allbreed and if you add it to your signature, I'll make it 6 months. I want these to be real horses though that you own.

Thanks everyone. Obviously we still have a couple bugs to fix, but I'll get to those things today. I'm going to need your usernames to adjust your accounts on ped query. If you don't have a pedquery account, you'll need to signup for one and just choose the 'pay by mail' option rather than giving your credit card.

FWIW: There is a thing on the ad that says "price" but on the form to fill out there is no price to fill out so they all say no price listed??

Alright, got you all setup for 6 months on pedquery, also we obviously still have a couple issues / bugs to sort out with the whole thing. Takes some actual people using the thing to spot these sorts them.

Love The Scarlet Witch, not that the rest aren't fine specimens too.
Has she ever passed her color to a foal?

nope .. she has always produced palominos

she is for sale BUT as soon as she comes into heat again I will be breeding her to Keep The Magic :) once she is in foal I am not sure if I will sell her or not ... too many decisions .. I love her breeding and she is a nice mare .. I just have a couple too many right now

MilesM-

The timing was actually perfect as my subscription just ran out last week! My user name is Marlifarm. I have to agree - I like the idea and it's nice to see some 'familiar' faces! Thanks!
