It's deceptively simple but I always thought the best confluence of sire and dams name that really defined the horse was Spectacular Bid by Bold Bidder -Spectacular.

Sorry, this is OT. The man's full name was Horace Greeley, which is why "Horse Greeley" is one of the best horse names ever, IMO. :D

What about the name that never was! The horse now is named "Awaiting Justice", but she is best known as the filly whose owner wanted to name her Sally Hemmings, but the Jockey Club denied his claim. Her dam is Jefferson's Secret (Colonial Affair o/o Marshua's Secret).
