That's pretty much my line of thought, too. The argument presented in Jurassic Park was a good one. Dinosaurs were naturally selected by nature to become extinct, and there's no way of knowing what would happen if they were suddenly reintroduced to the natural world. I liked Jeff Goldblum's line from the film, "Just because you could do it, you didn't stop to think if you should do it." I'm fascinated with this stuff, but my gut feeling on reintroducing these genetics is probably best expressed in another cliche' quote: "It's not nice to fool Mother Nature."
