I am thinking about hosting a Party for forum folks (this forum, tbredforum, horseracingtalk forum) in Saratoga sometime during the meet. I am not sure where or when, but most likely some night between August 6 - 17th.
I would like to get a list of people interested, and what date would be best for ya. You can post it right here on the thread, so we can all keep track of who can make it. Something like:
Dray33 - I can make it any time between August 6 - 17th!
Once I see who wants in, I will PM details to the group. If we get enough people, maybe we could drag some high-profiles to the gig (trainers, jocks, TVG peeps). I hope it works out, I look forward to meeting y'all.
Cheers, Drew

I am planning on heading up there with my sis and her pal (both cute single horse-crazy ladies) Aug 5th till maybe the 9th. We want to hit the yearling sale one night (the 8th?) and the races for a few days. If your party was in this tiny frame we would LOVE to come!
So Run for the Roses, as fast as you can.....
Let me know & I'll try to be there . . .
I have no definite plans, but if you're having a get-together, I'd love to try to be there. I'm more a weekend person, but let me know & I'll try to make it!

Dray,
That would be alot of fun. If you sure up a date, post it or PM me. I was up in Saratoga over Memorial day weekend just to get away. Stayed at the Inn at Saratoga and never wanted to come home ! Had a couple of Guinesses at the Parting Glass and spoke to Joan (owns the bar and races under the Parting Glass Stable banner) about her prospects for the summer.
I love it so much up there, that my wife and I looked at a couple of houses.I'm ready for a move!

And DOWN the stretch they come!
My schedule is pretty flexible if enough advance warning. Weekends are best for me, as I may have a ride to Saratoga almost any Friday if I want one from Long Island. It's a standing offer to see my horse at Warrensburg, NY, and get shown around Saratoga. And if lucky, I might be able to drag Pete Siegel along (from the forum also), as both he and the farm's owner live on Long Island, and they are friends.
