The FingerLakes Retiring Racehorse sale - Tomorrow!

Postby Louise » Mon Nov 06, 2006 6:53 am

My gosh! The sale is next Sunday! It sure came up fast. We have everything ready, including a nice basket of FLTAP merchandise that we will raffle off to some lucky person.

The volunteers were at the track both Saturday and Sunday this weekend, getting listings. We have 20 new horses listed, and there are some absolutely gorgeous ones among them.

The Horse of the week is Silver Certificate. She was almost sold, but the deal fell through, and now the trainer really needs to find her a good home.

Look at this lovely and successful race mare.

We're all so excited about this sale. I'm hoping that I see some of you there.

We placed nine horses, BJ, with quite a few more that I think will go in the next week or so, as people were interested but needed more time to negotiate or think about the purchase.

We really got nailed by the Weather Gods. It was cold, windy and rainy, and I think that kept attendance down.

The board will stay active, however, and we will be right back out there next Saturday, taking new listings. Lots of horses to find homes for, and time is running out. Please look, and take these guys into your hearts.

Just terrible with the weather - it really wasn't conducive to be outdoors and it sure 'short-changed' the sales!

Hmmm- okay, here's a couple I've admired.

1) Silver Certificate -her pedigree

2) Panina - her pedigree (some earnings, wonder if they've all been the 'hard way'?)

That was such a shame that the weather was so awful. At least you placed some of them.I wish I had a place for some, but I live in Brooklyn with a small yard, maybe one day! I really wish someone would take Scooty, I have been following him for awhile and he deserves a nice home too, they all do.Please keep us posted.

Me too! Can't believe he's gone down to $600... what a steal. Sure wish I had the cash to buy right now!
