2 yr olds of 2004 Racing Stats?

Postby Shadowrun » Sat Dec 11, 2004 6:14 am

Hello all, I have been mostly a lurker/reader on this forum for a couple of years although I have occasionally paid for the pedigree service. You all have supplied some good information for me from my few inquiries. I am hoping to strike gold again.

I am thinking of breeding my mare this year to a stallion who's first foals were 2 yr olds of 2004. The Werk nick rating I received on the hypo pedigree with my mare was an A+++ (which I have never seen before).

My question is how do I go about finding out how his 2004 2 yr olds are doing at the track, how many made it so far to the track (perhaps they are late bloomers?) and the like?

I hope you can help. I will check back this evening for responses.

I would just buy a crop analysis from Brisnet. I believe that they sell it on a start by start basis and you can see every move the stallion's current two year olds have done.

If there is a stallion I'm interested in, I put him on Stablemail and then you get every result by that stallion's offspring until I take him off. It does cost money (35 cents per result) but relative to what it costs to breed and raise a horse, it's nothing. You also get to see the real horses perform, not just the ones that the stallion manager wants to highlight. It can be really eyeopening.

For free options, this list will give you at least some of the information you're looking for:

Plus. if the stallion is listed in the Thoroughbred Times stallion directory, I think you can look up addtional information on their website.

What's the stallion's name?

Thanks to both of you for your information. The stallion isn't listed in the Thoroughbred Times Stallion Directory or the top first crop sire list for 2004. Guess I will go the Brisnet report that was mentioned. :D

If you do not want to pay for updated information, just enter the stallion in question and it hopefully will give you updates on leading runners and most all stats. I use this all the time. Good luck
