documentary "first saturday in May"
I was at the breeders cup draw at Monmouth Park today (my home track) and I sat with two brothers who produced/directed a documentary titled First Saturday in May. There will be a showing at the Clearview in Red Bank tomorrow evening (wed) for anybody in town. I plan on attending the preview. It starts at 6:30pm. I have heard it is a pretty good movie. I will give my opinion on Thursday if anyone is interested.
best regards Brendan

Great movie--- enjoyed it immensely. If anyone gets the opportunity to see this film you will not be disappointed. Finally there is a documentary made by people who understand the horse industry. It gives tremendous insight into the world of racing trainers and their families, Dale Romans and his family are hysterical as are the families of Dan Hendricks and Joe (?) Amaniti.
Kiaran McLaughlin. comes off looking like a very classy gentleman with a ton of upside in this game and you can really feel the pain and disappointment for Bob Holthius and the Lawyer Ron team. I think this may be a real omen for Lawyer Ron this saturday-------He deserves this win!
Can't say enough good things about this film and I hope everyone gets a chance to see it-----You will not be disappointed.
