Forest Gazelle as a stallion prospect?

Postby TomFool » Fri Sep 24, 2004 6:50 pm

He is in Ohio & will never get much attention but I do have a liking for this horse with a mare I have. He is from the never present in this country Hyperion sire line via not bad sources IMO. Shecky Greene was a champion sprinter. Green Forest was a champion at 2 in France as well as champion miler at 3. These guys are also well known for being very difficult. As is the horse in question Forest Gazelle, who was a very fast Juddmonte homebred. He did show the brilliance I desire in a stallion going 6 in 7 & 4 at Hollywood for Frankel. His female family is typical Juddmonte but with more speed & early foot being a half to Eltish & from the Skimble, Skimming family. So far he has 9 winners from 16 starters so who knows about his ability there. It is intresting to note that the dam of Spoken Fur had a FG foal this year I do believe, as I remember her being sold by that Ohio farm last year. Thoughts on him as a sire?
