I notice in the DRF that they give current post position stats for selected tracks, and no disclosure of that information for others.
Does anyone know where I could get that information for every track. I've looked on Equibase site but couldn't find it. If anyone could lend a hand, I'd appreciate it.
Thanks!

honesly for the most part no... but at times yes. post positions IMHO 90% of the time are overrated. I think what is more important is where a horse settles.

if you have a horse that's 2 seconds faster than any other horse it doesn' tmatter what post he has, he's going to get the lead.
on the other hand if you have a front runner that is starting in the 9th post and going 2 turns and there are 2 other speed horses. not going to have a real good chance.

bdw, I only use it when after evey other consideration has however many entries come up equal with track biases I am familiar with (i.e. Stampede Park in a 4 f dash the 8 and 9 hole hit at, don't quote me, 17 % with half the races filling to 6 - 7 horses, its a notable stat).
I think Santa Anita's turf course had a either last winter or the year before, that by the half way point, no route races had been won by a pace setter halfway through February.
