Hey Jorge Sabino standardbred

I had never seen one and havent seen one since. I have no way to get a picture but thought maybe you had an idea.

In 1985 or 86 I was working as a groom for an Arabian trainer. At a show in KY they were having a standardbred yearling sale. There was a dark bay yearling with a bald face and 4 stockings past the knee and a belly spot named Dappers Maitre D. I remember his name after all these years because he stuck out like a sore thumb. Dont know if you have any resources but thought Id pass it along.

There's quite a few of them (as well as tobianos) in Australia. This actually came up on the old board a couple of months ago.

Try searching for Perloch's information on sabinos (in French), or try an indirect link via Harasire in France. I know that there are sabino Standardbreds and even sabino Quarter Horses but I limit my search to Thoroughbreds.

Thanks for the watch and query.

Blessings,
