Powers tha be for Pedigree Query

Did you or someone else change the comment on Full Life from:

Family 19c - she has a 4-23-07 Dance With Ravens filly that is bred along same lines as Curlin

To her racing record in the past day or so?

There are no "Powers that be" on this site. As has already been pointed out to you in your other thread, dumont, ANYONE can change information on horses in the database (provided the pedigree is not locked).

The moderator of this board has no control over anything in the database. Miles (the site owner) and Brad have been MIA for over a year, as far as I can tell, so asking for "The powers that be" in relation to the database isn't going to get you anywhere.

FTR, calling that foal "bred like Curlin" is like saying Zippy Chippy and Sunline are similarly breed because they both carry Northern Dancer. That comment doesn't belong in the database. It's a misleading sales pitch at best.

Powers That Be for Pedigree Query

In short you're telling me the information on this site is not very reliable, anyone can change it or put info in. I used to think there were people running this site that knew what they were doing, but no more.

As great as this site is, it's nothing offical and has never claimed otherwise. If you need a offical produce record or race record the best bet is equineline or brisnet, they also charge for that information as well. This site is open to anyone to include or not include information about horses.

Powers that be for Pedigree Query

I just wanted to say one more time that someone other than myself put the message on about our filly (Doublenodouble) being similar to Curlin.

Also there must be a power that be for this site that collects the dues on Pedigree Query members.

there are people who have the power to moderate and lock certain pedigrees. We had a lively discussion about color a few months back and I know that many horses that people wanted to list as black but were dark bay according to the JC were locked.

Maybe it was the owner of the stallion.

I've seen some pretty interesting stuff happen to those pedigrees since I have been here from time to time

Hello Charlie. I recall posting with you on the old AOL forums. :)

If you are terribly concerned about other people editing your mare's info, I can lock her for you - but be advised that if I do, you won't be able to edit her, either. You would need to contact me to add or change any of her info.

PM me if you'd like.

Lucy: Any Chance of getting Rainbow Quest included in the chef-de-race/dosage calculations. It's been two years since he was made a classic-solid chef de race and the fact that he hasn't been included skews the dosage calcs.

Unfortunately, the researchers like myself do not have access to the dosage settings. :( That's something only the site's tech guys can fix.
