Iced Out

Postby Bill from WA » Sun Jan 16, 2005 10:29 am

This one could be a very good classic distance horse. Closed strongly on a speed favoring track to run second to Spanish Chestnut, beaten 3/4 of a length. He has the conduit profile to run all day. 5-3-2-3-10 (8/13) 0.60.
Will have to see how he comes up to the triple crown races. One to watch.

Bill,

Iced Out did close well on a speed favoring track yesterday.
However, I downgraded his performance a bit due to it being a 5 horse field with all 4 others being front runners.

Thanks Reviewer

Iced Out may not have enough speed to contend in the classics, but he sure looks like one to watch, in the Belmont in particular, although deep closers usually don't fare well in that race. I just think he has a lot of stamina in his pedigree. I will be interested in seeing how he comes along this spring.
