Guys, as you go through and look up different horses in the system, can you check that any picture icons actually link to pictures, please?

I'm working on the Prized foals and one of them had a link to a porn site in the picture field.

Gone West was not loading last night. A Window opened but never loaded the image, not even a broken link icon.

In addition, a couple more sites people would frequently hotlink photos from - Angelfire & the Final Turn - have (understandably) joined the ranks of sites that no longer allow hotlinking. So it's dead links a-go-go out there.

Heck, I'm still stumbling across old links from Photopoint! The more people find and zap 'em, the better!

Some "Gallary" (might be final turn) was also linked to in a lot and I'm finding a lot of links that pull up a "This site is stealing bandwidth from 'X' lately.

Sam,

Maybe you could make a list of the horses (especially the really good ones) that no longer have photo links. Maybe we can search our library of TB books/Magazines and come up with replacements & scan them and upload and link them to Webshots or something.

I'm still searching for Caro for Jessi P.

Does the DB have its own storage? If so how does one go about uploading images? And whats the story with Rancho San Antonio? Lots of images hosted over there.

Site subscribers can upload photos directly to the db....there's a button by the 'photo URL' field on the 'add additional info' screen. I haven't tried it, as my scanner's been on the fritz for some time.

I have no idea who at Rancho San Antonio put up all those photos - but I, for one, really appreciate what they've done. That's got to be a lot of bandwith they're tossing our way, and some of those photos are great. It doesn't seem to be part of their public website.
