I saw this on the banner ads - if anyone can keep an eye out - I am sure both the mare & her owners would appreicate ir!

where there are police reports the owners should contact angela at netposse.com & put a listing on the internet

same with contacting local feed, hay dealers int he area - hopefully she will be found - two of mine have been in other states - sold by mary terry so that I would never find them - names were changed of course -

they should notify the jockey club to red flag the papers so no one else can get them - hopefully she will be found before she foals or needs more meds

this is just awful & I feel terrible for the owners of that horse - mine have yet to be recovered but the fbi in boston has been notified of the rescue scam

I cannot imagine the thoguhts behind some people..

I do feel for the owners - just not knowing where she is or who/why she was taken.
We had a couple of huskies stolen on us years ago - and absolutley no trace of them anywhere...jsut like they got beamed up somewhere.
It is heartbreaking.

In my case it was because I would not give someone (a male) what he wanted - he wanted me to p ay for his well and as a minister he thought that I (even though I was not a member of his church) was obligated to replace it for him - he wanted me to give him 5000 towards the purchase price - the guy is such a liar that he probably neede the money for something else - like bills or his son's college education

he lied in the fact that he had court paperwork ie an unpaid board bill, agister's lien, a law suit against me for the unpaid board that I never paid - I did to pay him - I took care of his horse's care ie feed, shots, shoes & teeth for 1 1/2 years with not as much as a thank you - plus pay some money on the barn - which he refused by the way - he told methat they (my hroses were going to a baording farm called turtle rock & he told them that I had abandoned my animals and through court documents (that he never had ) that he owned them - by way in corrupt nh the courts only work for the landlord & he told the courts that he had l46 named buyers with appropriate financing in place - he had no buyers & no financing

so now 7 years later I have two of my mares returned - rest are still misisng/stolen - my country singer stud got gelded & sold - my reign road filly is still missing someplace & like the woman with the stolen huskies - liek they had just disappeared into thin air - I now am working with a private detective to see if I can find them - the pet pyschic that I went to told me that they would all be returned - my filly in june 2009 - but today is the 29 & there is still no trace - so much for believing in psychics

never give up & contact the husky registry as someone must have them

Just a thought, and not to make light of your earnest efforts because I don't think anyone here isn't rooting for you like a crazy person, but I'm thinking if the pet psychic was real they probably could've done you more of a favor and told you they were going to be stolen. The Psychic Friends Network went bankrupt and none of them saw it coming--ironic, no? I mean if you can predict the future, would you sit back and charge people that asked you if they were going to find a tall, dark, and handsome stranger, or would you make like a superhero and save lives? I don't buy into psychics, I think the best ones have a gift of being able to read people and lead them a certain direction that could be applied in a better way--say, interrogating murder suspects, delivering a closing argument, or questioning someone on the witness stand. Wouldn't being able to convince someone that what you say is true make an invaluable lawyering skill?

The internet is more and more an asset for finding horses. I hope anyone looking for theirs considers contacting places like New Holland or large animal vets (along with message boards obviously). I remember Netposse.com making recommendations like that. I'm sure some people currently own stolen horses and have no idea. Plastering pictures, especially of unusual markings, really makes a difference.

spent the night sending pics of stolen/missing tbs to local vets in upstate ny, nh & vt - see if anyone knows antyhing
