This is our trainers' 14 yo. son on the very first racehorse we ever bought (Danesfort (Silver Ghost-Platinum Paws, by Vice Regent), who's now 12, being trained for 3 day eventing. This was a junior trial at Fairhill in Sept.
It is so rewarding to see an ex-racehorse clearly relishing a completely new discipline. Daney is a gift, and every farm should have one of him.

I love how his ears are pricked in every photo, what a nice horse. Looks like boy and horse are enjoying themselves.

Good to see Daney enjoying his new life, but then he enjoyed his old one too. He's just a great guy all around.

It's great to see a professional racehorse retrained and obviously enjoying his new job. They look like a great pair. Thanks for sharing!

What great pictures, this horse obviously loves everything he does. The boy however is very concentrating on his task!

As a mom of teens, it's nice to see a young man with an interest in more than rap music and popping bottles with hos!!! Foster that interest as much as possible - he is at an age where he can go either way. Lovely horse, too!

I just had a look at his pedigree and it's interesting to see it in light of the comments and information in the "thoroughbred jump" thread.

Very nice photos of a happy and connected pair of athletes. Daney is obviously keen to do his job, tackle each obstacle as evidenced by his forward way of going and attentive ears/headset. Your trainer's son is just as alert and keen and the forward set of Daney's ears, flexibility in his neck and at the poll evidences this young rider having a solid but kind hold that is in communication but not interferring with his horse's way of going. Well done the both of them!

LOVELY pics! Looks like a bright future for both the horse and the rider.
