Its pouring out- but I'm smilin'

Postby ArchDandy » Fri Dec 11, 2009 4:39 pm

Today I had the vet out for my mare's 7th month Rhino. and we were on the subject of where she was going to foal out. I told him we wanted to rent a place with a horse setup, have a vet on call and foal her out at home. If that was not possible the worse case scenario would be to send her back to Harris Farms. He agreed, and then recommended another place that would be cheaper than Harris Farms, and a lot closer to home (this is important to me because I'm used to being her sole provider) He gave me a name and address and I thanked him. Later on I googled the name and farm and was BLOWN AWAY! The lady's name is Carol and she has a farm in Sanger, CA. The really cool part for me is that Lava Man was born there, and if the info I have gathered is correct- His dam Lil Mis leonard is there too! Will my foal be born in the same place as Lava Man? Will I get to visit and give his dam a carrot and a scratch? I'm going to give her a call either tomarrow or monday. *so excited*

You will like the farm, and Carol, but Lil Ms. Leonard was sold several years ago to a Florida-based owner.

Your mare will receive first-class service all the way.

Carol stands a lovely stallion -- Bedford Falls -- a half-brother to Harlan's Holiday. Be sure to give him a look.
