ROMAN RULER MIA IN TC

Postby louis finochio » Sun Feb 13, 2005 7:10 am

Roman Ruler has developed a quarter crack, and will be out of the TC series. Im going to suggest to Baffert to give Roman Ruler Bee Pollen daily to help his quarter crack grow back.

Louis, I know Baffert announced he wasn't running Roman Ruler in his next sheduled race. Is he now saying that a quarter crack will keep the colt off the triple crown trail entirely?

I was at Santa Anita yesterday and heard what Louis heard from a pretty good source.

Are they still taking money on him in the future book?

Roberto. Roman Rulers groom told me 2 weeks ago the Roman Ruler had a quarter crack. I dont know if they can use the bain patch and repair the crack. I'll ask his groom of Roman Rulers whereabouts at this time.

a quarter crack is not lame, you talk like you almost enjoy it when horses have physical problems, shame on you.

Roman Ruler's quarter crack has been patched up and he will run next week. The reason Roman Ruler didnt run in the San Vincente was that the track was too hard, and Baffert didnt want to push Roman Ruler off the cliffs edge. Thats the difference between trainers one will push his TB over the cliff, and the other trainer wont. Baffert said and I quote him, If this was Roman Rulers last race or the Ky. Derby he would have run.

Louis, Can Roman Ruler run with a patch? How long will it take to heal and will it ever heal completely. Is he wearing a bar shoe?

To Rascal: The patch to cover and make the crack sealed is done with a fiber glass component. If the track is too hard the pounding while running could be harmful to the patch. I'll find out If Roman Ruler is wearing a bar shoe. RR has a light frame and Is a smooth mover, as this will help him when he runs.

WOW...I didn't realize that horses that receive the best care that money can buy, can still fall prey to quarter cracks like any ordinary TB!
