I was told of a true story of a colt found out in a field in Santa Rosa CA, age five, never broke. The couple bought him and went on to win Satkes and make $500,000. Wish I knew his name?

Isn't Avie's Charm the dam of numerous stakes horses?

I only found one previous winner out of her, Cosmic Charm [Dixton - Avies' Charm by Lord Avie.] He won three races in 2000.

No doubt this runner will be the backbone of new systems sprouting up everywhere relating to "workout layoffs".

You should have put him on your "stable mail" upon catching wind of that brilliant 3-furlong move in 2004!

Gosh.. seven years of training bills before his first start. What a very patient owner he must have.

He won his second start on October 22, so he's still undefeated!

I've heard of the Maryland shin program but not the Marathon Shin program. Guess this goes to show starting a horse under nine years of age is highly overrated..

Yup, and he's entered in the 6th at Turf Paradise on the 29th, dropping from a 5k claimer to 3.5k. 8)

He's 3-for-3 now!

(that Yavapai workout in 2004 was clearly the tip-off)

Watched him on TVG...he's a very determined fellow. Came right up the rail and blew past 'em.
