In the process of evaluating this years Prix de l' Arc de Triomphe, I came across a horse that indicates the differences between American dosage, and the Conduit Mare profiles. The #5 horse in the race, Imperial Dancer, has a purely speed oriented dosage profile, 4-3-3-0-0 (5.67), where the Conduit profile, which considers all of the individuals within a 4 generation pedigree via their female families, has the following profile, 3-4-6-8-4 (0.67). Now maybe we can see why the connections opted to give this race a try. Not enough consideration is given to European horses when dosage is tabulated, IMO. I don't know if this horse can win, but I don't think he'll disgrace himself, maybe beat half the field. Now watch him go to the front and peter out after a mile. Then I'll have to devour my words (some salsa please).

Thank you Bill. I enjoy your input so much. I'm very anxious to get your book because it may help answer some question on a small group of boodmares we're developing. Arc day has always been special but, this year with maybe getting to see a horse from one of our mares family makes it just a tad more interesting. Doesn't look like Cherry Mix will factor in but, nevertheless I'll get to see that pretty gray boy. Thanks again, Ann
