Silent Witness

Postby Georgerz » Sun Feb 27, 2005 7:58 pm

In both the Throughbred Times and The Bloodhorse there are articles regarding Silent Witness 15th win in a row, and then go on to say that he is about to equal Citation's and Cigar's modern record of 16 wins in a row. They are forgetting that Ribot was undefeated in 16 races, and he raced several years after Citation.

He's now 16 for 16 and by God that is one amazing animal. I think the last time I cried during a race what Dubai Millennium's Prince Of Wales. He sling-shot off that turn and I swear he took my breath with him. The horse is phenominal.

I watched him racing in the race track today and I'm 100% sure you can get even more from him if any horse can push him a bit more.

Here's Silent Witness' 16th win

Saw the race on TVG. Great horse. Great name. It's always thrilling to see history in the making. :D

Hi,

In Breeding terms would it be right to use, 'Silent Witness is a great, great, great grandson of Italian champion Ribot who retired undefeated after his second win in the Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe in 1956.' or '......matching a record of his ancestor Ribot, set half a century ago in Europe.'

Thnks

There isn't much need to pimp his bloodlines anyway.

He's a Gelding so it doesn't matter much.

Lets see em run outside of his comfort zone.

Say a group race OUTSIDE of hong kong.

Cigar, citation and Ribot raced at different tracks.

I am from the show me state.

Show me Silent witness that you are a worthy champ
and run a race outside of Hong kong.

I believe that is the plan. The announcers kept saying that he's run out of competition in Hong Kong and that his next start was likely going to be in France or England.
