R.I.P. Bidable Hero

Postby austique » Mon Feb 28, 2005 11:35 am

Our family lost a dear friend last night when Bidable Hero passed after a severe colic. "Bobby" as he was known around the barn raced for us from the age of 2 until he was 10 and later served as a stable pony before going on to become my nieces riding horse. He touched a lot of lives and will be sorely missed.

So sorry for your loss. It wasn't that long ago we lost Bubbles and she was only 8 months old. She had touched a lot of people already so I know what you are going through. Maybe he can teach her the ropes in heaven wherever the horses are.

RIP Bobby. So sorry to hear of the loss...I'm sure your nieces are heartbroken. Give them a warm hug from all of us.

Thank you so much all of you for your sympathy. He truly was one of a kind and special thanks to B.J. for updating his info on the database. He made 88 of those 89 starts for us including winning for us the first time we started him. Interestingly we brought him in as a possible purchase for a new client. He was huge and skinny and had warts all over his nose. He reminded us of the scene in Phar Lap when they unload the Phar Lap off the boat and everybody is looking at him like "gross" hence the nickname Bobby. Bidable Hero had such an awesome personality, we kept him for ourselves and bought the client another horse. The other horse ended up a hunter after only four starts.

Austique,

You are most welcome. You can also put some tributory comments in the "comments section" of his pedigree page, by clicking on MAINTENANCE in the pedigree page tool/menu bar. Then click on "edit info". Then scroll down to the bottom of the edit info page. What you write about him will show in his pedigree when you click on the "i". You can also upload a photo. That would be a nice memorial for him.

Sincerely,
BJ

Austique: please accept my condolences on your loss. It is always so terrible when we lose one of our furbabies.
Sincerely, Claire
