Lane's End is all covered with snow at the moment, let's hope the new Z. arrival will enjoy this!

Of course snow will make that baby come soon. Zenyatta, like all respectable broodmares, will look out the window and see snow, or blizzard, or tornado, or pouring rain, or knee deep mud, or flood, or power outage, or locusts, and think wouldn't it be lovely to have this foal right now. If she looks out the window and sees pleasant weather and butterflies and birds singing, forget about it! 8)

No clouds in the sky and it's 60 degrees today in LEX and the horses are loving it. Even still she wont be left out long!

TeamZenyatta tweeted around noon Wednesday:

"We're cleaning up after quality time with Z. All the snow has melted, and she enjoyed a great roll in the mud! Very Happy Horse!"

the barometric pressure will drop and it will send mares into a tizzy.

But I wouldn't use Mike Smith's word on foaling maiden mares :D

Any idea what he will sell for in the September 2013 sale?

Highly doubt the Mosses would sell this colt.

Congratulations to the Moss's on the safe delivery of what I'm sure will be a very fortunate and lucky colt. I'm sure Zenyatta will be a good first time mom and I'm sure every one is breathing a sigh of relief.

I think they tried that with another famous foal and it was run up pretty high but everyone knew the game that was being played.

Beautiful colt. It will be fun to see how her colt and that by Rachael Alexandra actually do in two or three years time. In the meantime, it provides joy for lots of fans.

How much commission would you have to pay if you ran a colt through a hign in sale with a $10 million reserve?/

asume the colt did not meet the reserve
