Transportation from Golden Gate to Fair Grounds

Postby texas tea » Sat Oct 27, 2012 1:29 pm

Looking to bring a horse from Golden Gate in California to The Fair Grounds in New Orleans, Louisiana. Looking for references from those who have transported their horses long distances. Don't mind hearing from the " stay away from" as well.
I have a quote from Hubbard Horse Transport at $1550. They advise that it will take 4 days with lay overs. Does this seem reasonable and are these people professional?

$1550. Sounds very reasonable to me.

I have shipped with Hubbard before and my horse was great. They do stop at good places to let the horses rest, the horses were fed and watered. I will ship with them again.

$1550.oo is fantastic!
I was quoted (not by Hubbard) $2400+ for a MUCH shorter trip.
