SoCal to Harris Farms shipping?

Does anyone know if Morningstar Horse Transport went out of business? I've tried 2 different numbers and both have been dc'd.
The quote I got from Hubbard was $2 per mile. I was expecting to pay $1.50, paying more than that means I probably should do it myself. It's a dreary boring drive and heaven forbid if it's windy the day you choose to go anywhere with rv or truck and trailer. I'm going to call for a few more quotes but if anyone has any "stay away" from names I'd appreciate a pm.
